I cannot download eAudiobooks using the Overdrive app for Windows

These instructions will help you learn how to download eAudiobooks using the OverDrive desktop app for Windows or to bypass the OverDrive Windows 8/10 app if it is no longer working for you.

  1. Go to OverDrive's website and download just the Window's Desktop app from the bottom of the page.
  2. Use our Overdrive website to search and check out items from our OverDrive collection.
  3. Go to your shelf and select Download.
  4. Then, go to the OverDrive for Windows app, hit File in the upper left corner, Open, and navigate to the file you just downloaded on your computer.
  5. It will then automatically download the file(s) needed, and you can launch them from there
