Can I renew an eBook or eAudiobook?

If no one has a hold on the title, you can renew an eBook or audiobook from Libby or the OverDrive website. You can renew your title an unlimited amount of times, or until someone places a hold on it. The ability to renew a title from Libby does not become available until 3 days before the title is due. Visit this page for directions on renewing using the Libby app and this page for directions on how to renew a title using the OverDrive website.

If you have checked out an eBook from our always available EBSCO collection by downloading it (EBSCO eBooks read in the browser are always available, not subjected to a lending period limit, and thus aren't "checked out"), there is no renewal feature but they can be checked out again after the initial lending period has expired.

All titles (including eBooks and audiobooks) borrowed from our always available hoopla collection can be renewed on the hoopla site (but not in the app) beginning 2 days before a title is due. If you're under your monthly lending limit of 6 checkouts, you will be able to renew the title, and renewing will use up one of your checkouts.
