Can I update my address/phone number/email address online?

You can update your phone number and email address online. To do so:

  1. Visit metrolibrary.org and click My Account at the top.
  2. In the window that pops up, enter all the digits of your library card number. Your password/PIN is your full last name.
    • If you have an ECARD number, enter that word along with the trailing digits with no spaces between them. For example: ecard1234567
    • If your card number has a lowercase letter "c" at the end, do not include it when you enter your card number.
  3. Click on your name and select Contact Information from the menu.
  4. Enter your updated information and click Update Contact Information.

To update your address, please visit any of our libraries with proof of address or email us at askalibrarian@metrolibrary.org with a picture of your proof of address attached to the email.

In the Libby app, push notifications are available to notify you when your holds are ready. If you would like to disable push notifications and enable email notifications, or if you use libbyapp.com and would like to receive email notifications, the Libby help page has instructions for how to do so.

We don’t keep email addresses on record for OverDrive and the only time you need to enter one is when you’re placing a hold or modifying a hold. To see the address you’re currently using for your OverDrive holds (and to change it if necessary):

  1. Visit metrolibrary.overdrive.com and click on the 3 books icon near the top right of the screen.
  3. Click the Edit email button next to any of your holds to correct the email address to which the hold ready notification will be mailed.
