Can I change the library where I pick up my holds?

 

Yes. Here is how you can change the pickup location for a hold if the item is not in transit or already arrived:

  1. Visit metrolibrary.org and click My Account at the top.
  2. In the window that pops up, enter all the digits of your library card number. Your password/PIN is your last name. Click Log In.
    • If you have an ECARD number, enter that word along with the trailing digits with no spaces between them. For example: ecard1234567
    • If your card number has a lowercase letter "c" at the end, do not include it when you enter your card number.
  3. On the top right corner of the page, click on your name and select Titles On Hold from the drop-down menu.
  4. Under Pending Holds, find the title and click Change Pickup Loc.
  5. Select your desired pickup location and then click Change Location.

If the hold is already in transit or has already arrived, please contact us so we can change your pickup location.

If you would like to change your default library location at which you pick up all of your holds:

  1. Visit metrolibrary.org and click My Account at the top.

  3. On the top right corner of the page, click on your name and select Your Preferences from the drop-down menu.
  4. Under Home Library, select the library you wish to use as your default location.
  5. Click Update My Preferences.
