Yes, the Downtown Library has topographical maps of many states dating from the 1960s-1990s that can be used in the library and/or can be checked out for 3 weeks at a time.

  • Maps for Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Colorado are organized in filing cabinets along the south side of the 2nd floor
  • Maps for other states are housed in compact shelving and can be retrieved by a staff member upon request

We also have older maps of Oklahoma and the Indian Territories dating from the 1890s-1910s that cannot be checked out. If you would like to submit a request to view these older maps, please fill out the request form under "Contact Special Collections" towards the bottom of this page on our website (click on the gray bar that says "Click here to contact the Special Collections Department").
