How can I print, save, or share EBSCO eBook pages as a PDF?

Depending on publisher-specified limits, up to 100 pages of an EBSCO eBook can be printed or saved. You can also share a link to an eBook or a specific page of an eBook.

Notes:

  • Some titles may not allow for printing due to individual publisher-specified limits.
  • The number of pages may vary depending on individual publisher-specified limits.
  • If you have reached your printing limit, the option to print or save eBook pages will be temporarily unavailable.
  • Most titles cannot be emailed (the email option is grayed out) but you can share a link to the pages.

Printing eBook Pages

To print eBook pages:

  1. Open the eBook in the eBook Full Text viewer.

  2. Go to the first page of the section of pages you would like to print, and click the Print icon in the tools menu at the top right.

  3. Select the pages to print and click "Print."

  4. Configure your print settings and click OK to print your pages.

Note: If you have downloaded an EBSCO eBook and are viewing it in Adobe Digital Editions, eBook pages can be printed by going to the File menu and selecting Print. Any publisher-specified page printing limits are enforced by Digital Editions.


Saving eBook Pages

To save eBook pages as a PDF:

  1. Open the eBook in the eBook Full Text viewer.

  2. Click the download icon  beside the chapter you'd like to save. 

  3. Select what you'd like to save: current chapter, current page, or a custom page range.

  4. Click Download. Your pages will be saved to your computer as a PDF.


Sharing and Emailing eBook Pages

To share a link to eBook pages:

  1. Open the eBook in the eBook Full Text viewer.

  2. Click the Share icon. 

  3. Under Share, select Create Link. Click Copy to Clipboard to copy the link.

Emailing eBook pages: Most EBSCO eBooks cannot be directly emailed from the eBook Full Text viewer, but you can follow the steps above for saving eBook pages as a PDF. Then, open your email and attach the PDF to a new message.

Note: eBook pages saved as a PDF can be transferred to, and read on, eReader devices such as the Nook or Kindle. Consult your device's user manual for instructions on how to manually transfer files to the device.
