Can I embroider a custom design using the embroidery machine in the makerspace?

Yes, you can! The Belle Isle and Almonte libraries each have a makerspace that includes an embroidery machine (the makerspace at the Bethany library does not include an embroidery machine). You can use the USB port on one of the embroidery machines to upload your own design from a flash drive. The computers in the makerspace have a program called InkScape which allows you to design your own embroidery file and save it in .PES format, which the embroidery machine reads. You can also download InkScape for free to your own computer at home and bring in the .PES file using a flash drive.
