You can update your physical address, phone number, and email address online BUT if you update your physical address online, you must provide proof of this updated address during your next library visit before you will be able to use your library card to check out. To update your contact information online:

  1. Visit metrolibrary.org and click My Account at the top.
  2. In the window that pops up, enter all 8 digits of your library card number (if your card number has less than 8 digits, add enough zeros to the front of your number until it is 8 digits long) or if your card number starts with ecard, enter that word along with the 7 trailing digits and your full last name (or sign in with your EZ Username and Password), and click Log In.
  3. On the Account Summary page, click the Contact Information link at the left.
  4. Enter your updated information and click Save.

We don’t keep email addresses on record for OverDrive and the only time you need to enter one is when you’re placing a hold or modifying a hold. To see the address you’re currently using for your OverDrive holds (and to change it if necessary):

  1. Visit emedia.metrolibrary.org and click on the 3 books icon near the top right of the screen.
  2. Sign in with all 8 digits of your library card number (if your card number has less than 8 digits, add enough zeros to the front of your number until it is 8 digits long) or if your card number starts with ecard, enter that word along with the 7 trailing digits and your full last name and then click on the Holds link.
  3. Click the Edit email button next to any of your holds to correct the email address to which the hold ready notification will be mailed.
