When are my checked out items due?

Physical items (books, CDs, DVDs, etc., not eBooks or downloadable audiobooks) are due 3 weeks from the checkout date. You can find the due date for all the physical materials you have checked out with the following directions:

1. Visit catalog.metrolibrary.org and click Sign In.
2. In the window that pops up, enter all 8 digits of your library card number and your last name and click Sign In.
   • If you have an ECARD number, enter that word along with the trailing digits with no spaces between them. For example: ecard1234567
   • If your card number has a lowercase letter "c" at the end, do not include it when you enter your card number.
3. Click on your name in the top right corner of the page and select Checked Out Titles from the drop-down menu. You will be sent to a page that will display all of your checked out items and their due dates.

Downloadable eBooks and audiobooks from Libby/Overdrive automatically return at the end of the loan period. You can view their due dates on our catalog (see instructions above) or, to find their due dates in Libby:

1. Open the Libby app or visit libbyapp.com and sign in if prompted.
2. Tap on the icon at the bottom of the screen that looks like two books:
3. The Loans page will display and show you each title you have checked out from Libby and when it is due.

To see the due date for eBooks from EBSCO that you have checked out:

1. Visit this page.
2. If prompted, sign in using all 8 digits of your library card number and your last name.
   • If you have an ECARD number, enter that word along with the trailing digits with no spaces between them. For example: ecard1234567
   • If your card number has a lowercase letter "c" at the end, do not include it when you enter your card number.
3. Click Sign In at the top right and sign in with your MyEBSCOhost information.
